Kaimuki Auto Repair

Went through the full service for gas and according to the sign on cost of premium it was $4.49. I was charged way more. The sign says full service must be over $25. My bill came up to $65 and my fuel was only 10.1 gallon. And I was charged $13.95 for synthetic oil. I paid cash for it and my credit card was charged $65. I asked why it was so much, I was told, because I went through full service. I tried to oppose, they said it was done. That was no full service, they didn't even clean the windshields.....never going back there again! I feel like I was scammed cause I was a woman.

Love this place for the repairs. Everyone wants an honest local mechanic who gets the job done. This is the one. A longtime Kaimuki standard on Waialae Avenue, this family business still has pops working all the time there, with a handful of loyal mechanics, and it still has the dusty old bible in the waiting area. This local family business clearly wants to do things "the old way, the honest way". I make a point to buy my gas here, too.

Amazing customer service. Walked in for a safety inspection, and they put me in the queue. They called me when it was my turn to have the inspection - 10/10.

12/2024 Alan has been a fixture in Kaimuki for as long as I can remember and just an all-around kind businessman. I went by for a safety check and was in and out in 15 minutes. Also good to see young employees learning the trade working there from time to time. Customers should try and pay cash when able to as they, like every other business, will have to pass on credit card fees to customers. Help them, help you, and keep them in mind for your next car repair. 🚗 😉🤙✌️

My first stop if there was ever an issue. The owner is an honest and community driven man who passes it on to his workers. Many times he would inspect my car for free and even recommend me to other shops if he felt they did a better job. I never felt overcharged or oversold. This is the type of mechanic you look for. Knowledgeable and honest. You'll feel like an old friend as soon as you walk in the door.
